Factory Sthapana Puja Samagri: Essential Offerings for an Auspicious Beginning

Factory Sthapana Puja, also known as the Bhoomi Puja or Vastu Puja for industrial establishments, is a significant ritual performed before the inauguration or commencement of operations in a new factory or industrial setup. The purpose of this puja is to invoke the blessings of Vastu Purush, deities, and the five elements of nature to ensure peace, prosperity, safety, and smooth functioning of the factory. For the ritual to be successful and spiritually fulfilling, a specific set of Sthapana Samagri (ritual items) is required, each holding deep symbolic and spiritual importance.

The basic samagri includes a Kalash (sacred pot) filled with water, mango leaves, and a coconut, which represents the presence of divine energy and is placed at the center of the ritual. Ganesh idol or photo is essential, as Lord Ganesha is worshipped first in every Hindu ritual to remove obstacles and bring success. Navagraha yantra or deities, representing the nine planets, are often included to align cosmic energies with the industrial activities.

Other common samagri items include roli (vermilion), chawal (rice), haldi (turmeric), kumkum, and akshat, which are used for applying tilak and performing aarti. Dhoop (incense), agarbatti (scented sticks), and camphor (kapoor) are burned to purify the environment and elevate spiritual energy. A ghee diya (lamp) is lit to symbolize light, knowledge, and the removal of darkness or negativity.

For offerings, fresh flowers and garlands are used for decorating idols and the puja space. Panchamrit, a mixture of milk, curd, honey, ghee, and sugar, is prepared to bathe the idols. Fruits, dry fruits, and traditional sweets like laddus or pedas are offered as prasad. Red cloth, betel leaves, supari (areca nuts), coins, and coconuts are also part of the samagri list and are used in various steps of the ritual.

Additionally, specific materials for havan such as havan kund, wood (mango or sandal), ghee, samidha, and havan samagri mixture (herbs and seeds) are required to perform the fire ceremony, which is the heart of the Sthapana Puja. The smoke from the havan is believed to purify the space and attract divine vibrations.
