CHANDAN DOSH VIWARANA PUJA SAMAGRI KIT

Chandal Dosh Nivaran Puja is a Hindu ritual aimed at rectifying the negative effects of Chandal Dosh, a dosh (flaw) caused by the unfavorable positioning of certain planets in a person’s astrological chart, particularly when malefic planets like Rahu and Ketu are prominent. The purpose of this puja is to alleviate the ill effects of this dosh and restore balance and harmony in the individual’s life. To perform this puja effectively, a specific samagri kit is required, containing essential items to ensure the success of the ritual.

The most important component of the samagri is the kalash (sacred pot), which symbolizes the universe and is central to the puja. The kalash is filled with clean water and topped with mango leaves and a coconut, representing prosperity and auspiciousness. Akshata (rice mixed with turmeric) is used to sprinkle on the kalash and other offerings, symbolizing purity and completeness. Kumkum (vermilion), turmeric (haldi), and chandan (sandalwood paste) are used for marking the sacredness of the space and the objects involved in the puja.

The puja thali includes other essential items such as incense sticks (agarbatti)dhoop, and camphor, which are lit to purify the atmosphere and invoke divine blessings. The lighting of a ghee lamp (diya) is essential to dispel negative energies and invite positive vibrations into the space. Flowers, especially marigolds and jasmine, are offered to the deity and placed around the puja area to enhance the auspiciousness of the ritual.

Betel leaves and betel nuts are part of the offerings, signifying respect and devotion to the deities. Fruits like bananas, coconuts, and apples are presented to represent prosperity and to ask for divine favor. A sacred thread (mouli) is tied around the kalash or the wrists of the participants, symbolizing protection and invoking blessings from the divine forces.

Additionally, havan samagri is included in the kit if the puja involves a fire ritual. This includes herbswood, and ghee for the sacred fire. The fire symbolizes the destruction of negative energy, purifying the atmosphere and the individual. Ganga jal (holy water) is sprinkled to purify the surroundings and participants. Holy scriptures or specific mantras associated with Chandal Dosh Nivaran are recited, invoking the blessings of Lord Vishnu, Lord Shiva, or other deities known for removing malefic influences. The correct arrangement of this samagri and its proper use during the puja is essential to ensure that the negative effects of Chandal Dosh are mitigated and that the individual can lead a more harmonious and prosperous life.
